Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CMD + J application and website (the "Service"), operated by Milsztein Ventures UG (haftungsbeschränkt), trading as aurio (the "operator", "we", "us"); full details are in our Imprint. By downloading, installing, or using CMD + J, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
CMD + J is a macOS assistant that, at your request, reads the conversation you are replying to and drafts a reply in your writing style. Drafts are inserted for you to review; CMD + J does not send, post, or deliver any message on your behalf. Details of how data is handled are in our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
3. Your account
Signing in requires a valid email address, which we verify with a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and device secure, and for activity that occurs through your account. Notify us at accounts@aurio.ai if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Connected accounts
You may connect third-party services (such as Slack, Google/Gmail, and Microsoft Teams/Outlook). You represent that you have the right to connect those accounts and to let CMD + J read the content you direct it to read. Your use of each third-party service remains subject to that provider's own terms. You can disconnect any integration at any time.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break the law, infringe others' rights, or send unlawful, harassing, deceptive, or spam content;
- access conversations or accounts you are not authorized to access;
- reverse-engineer, resell, or abuse the Service or its underlying APIs, or circumvent usage limits or security;
- use the Service to build a competing product or to train machine-learning models.
You are solely responsible for the messages you choose to send, whether or not drafted with CMD + J.
6. AI-generated drafts
CMD + J produces drafts using an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic). AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for the situation. You are responsible for reviewing every draft before sending it. The Service is an aid, not a substitute for your judgment, and we make no guarantee about the accuracy or suitability of any draft.
7. Intellectual property
The CMD + J software, website, and branding are owned by the operator and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. Your messages and drafts remain yours; you grant us only the limited licence needed to process that content in order to provide the Service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Fees
CMD + J is currently offered free of charge, subject to fair-use limits, during its beta. We may introduce paid plans in the future; if we do, we will give notice and you can choose whether to continue.
9. Beta & "as is"
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Service may change, break, or be discontinued at any time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, messages, or profits, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including liability for intent or gross negligence, or under mandatory statutory provisions).
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service. You can request deletion of your account by emailing accounts@aurio.ai.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected. The place of jurisdiction is the operator's registered seat, to the extent permitted by law.
